A Bit More About Mrs. Wampler
I have lived in Michigan since 2004. We moved from Oregon so my husband could teach geology at GVSU. We have two daughters, Hannah and Katie. Hannah and her husband, Lucas, graduated from Michigan Tech and have jobs on the other side of the state. They are both finishing their masters degrees this winter. Katie graduated from MSU and is working on her masters full time in Oregon. She's planning on finishing up next summer. All three of them did Science Olympiad in Grand Haven and like to read. Katie also likes cross country and fencing, while Hannah takes ballet lessons and does yoga.
I like to read, go on long walks with friends, kayak, do computer projects, and take road trips with my family. One of my favorite walks is along the river in Grand Haven. In the summer, I feel like I've been on a mini-vacation after we've walked along the river and watched the sunset. Our dog, Pippin, likes it too.
I have lived in Iowa, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and of course, Michigan. I have been an environmental geologist, explored for gold, written a computer curriculum for kids, had my own desktop publishing and editing business, and proofread books for a publisher. But, my all-time favorite job is teaching.
